In 2003, an exclusive group of international building industry manufacturers with a similar approach to business banded together and committed to an aggressive, coordinated campaign to inform decision-makers that the choices they make with regard to their facilities can be economically and environmentally sustainable. The consortium was named the Alliance for Sustainable Built Environments (ASBE).
