Alan Bryden took up the post of ISO Secretary-General on 1 March 2003, after having served as director general of the French national standards body, AFNOR. He began his career in metrology, notably with the American National Bureau of Standards (today the National Institute of Standards and Technology) and has a strong background in the fields of quality and the rational use of energy. He earned his MS in earth sciences from the University of Wai­kato , New Zealand, his MBA from the University of Auckland , New Zealand, and his doctorate from the University of Oxford, England. He researched, consulted and taught at Oxford on environment change and management.

Steve Rochlin is the head of AccountAbility North America. AccountAbility's mission is to advance innovations in accountability that promote sustainable development. The international nonprofit organization works with partners in business, the public sector and civil society to develop new thinking,tools and connections enabling individuals,institutions and alliances to respond better to global challenges. Taylor Wilkerson | LMI

Taylor Wilkerson is a research fellow with LMI, a government consulting firm in McLean, VA. Taylor has been a part of the LMI Supply Chain Management Program for seven years. Prior to joining LMI, he worked as an environmental consultant focusing on air-quality engineering. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the R.H. Smith School at the University of Maryland. He is also a member of the Supply Chain Council's Aerospace and Defense Special Interest Group Steering Committee. Taylor is the co-author of GreenSCOR: Developing a Green Supply Chain Analytical Tool, author of Can One Green Deliver Another, and a contributing author to the Air Quality Handbook.

Tom Bowman is president of Bowman Design Group in Signal Hill, Calif. Bowman designs and produces energy and climate science exhibitions for utility companies, the National Academy of Sciences, and Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He contributed to NOAA's climate education standards, writes for professional journals and offers programs on sustainable business practices. Bowman Design Group also designs educational and marketing media.

Wayne Rifer / Green Electronics Council

Wayne Rifer is manager of EPEAT Operations for the Green Electronics Council. He participated as a negotiator in the national negotiation called NEPSI to design a funding system to recycle discarded electronic products. He initiated and managed the stakeholder process to develop EPEAT (Electronics Product Environmental Assessment Tool), a procurement tool for environmentally preferable electronics (www.epeat.net).

Wilson Korol is the global corporate social responsibility analyst for Nortel. He works on corporate environmental and social issues, providing strategic guidance and implementing policies. He holds master's degrees from Duke University in both public policy and environmental management.
